Family-owned. Run by Yellesi. Based in Everett.
Tremor Excavation is a small, family-owned excavation company serving Snohomish, Skagit, and King counties. Yellesi owns the shop, walks the sites, and answers the phone.
I started Tremor in 2008 to do the kind of work I'd spent a long time doing for other people — foundation digs, septic, land clearing, underground utilities, and the site prep that ties it all together. We're still a small operation, and that's the way we like it. It means when you call, you're talking to someone who's been on the job.
Most of our work is residential, mostly across Snohomish, Skagit, and King counties — Everett, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Monroe, and the towns up the valley. We've done bigger commercial pads too, but the bread-and-butter is helping people build the houses they're going to live in.
We self-perform every phase of every job we take on. No subcontracting out the parts that matter. If you want to know who's on the site, the answer is us.

What Tremor does.
Four lines of work, plus the site preparation that brings them together. Everything here, we self-perform.
Foundation digs.
Residential and light-commercial foundations — footings, slab prep, basement excavation. Most of what we do day-to-day. We're set up for tight residential lots as well as bigger pads.
Underground utilities.
Water, sewer, storm, and conduit. Service connections through to mainlines. We're TPC-certified for confined-space work, which matters in vault and manhole installs.
Land clearing.
Tree removal, stump grinding, brush mulching, and forestry mowing on rural acreage. We always check the critical-areas overlay before we cut.
Demolition.
Structures, slabs, foundations, and hardscape — residential and light commercial. We crush our own concrete on-site when there's enough volume to justify it.
What we'll
refer out.
If a job is outside what we do well, we'll tell you up front and point you to someone better suited to it.
- Septic design and permitting. We can do the digging and the install, but a licensed septic designer needs to lead. We work alongside designers on jobs where this comes up.
- Above-grade structural demolition over 3 stories. That's a different scale of work and a different scale of equipment. We'll point you to a demo contractor who specializes in it.
- Anything with confirmed asbestos or lead-impacted soils. Licensed abatement has to come first. Once the site is cleared, call us back and we'll handle the excavation and backfill.
- "Move it tomorrow" emergencies on unknown sites. We can mobilize quickly for repeat clients and known sites. For a brand new site, the honest answer is a few business days to walk it, scope it, and schedule.
Who you'll be talking to.
Tremor is small enough that there isn't a chain of people to get through. You'll mostly be talking to the owner.
Started Tremor in 2008 and has been on a jobsite nearly every day since. Will be the one to come walk your property, talk you through the scope, and stay on the call when things change mid-job. Reach the office line during business hours, or send a note through the contact form and it lands on the same desk.
Crew and supervisor bios coming soon. We're a small team and we'd rather show real photos than placeholders.
